The third annual Project Red Dress fashion show will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. This year’s event will feature celebrity judges, including “Project Runway’s” Nick Verreos. Participating fashion design students will have the opportunity to feature one-of-a-kind red gowns at the event, which promises to inspire and challenge the students while raising awareness of heart disease.
"This event brings together the best of the fashion design students to benefit two great causes,” said Monir Zandghoreishi, program chair, Fashion Design & Fashion Merchandising at IADT-Seattle. “One being education and the other is the American Heart Association, bringing everyone together for a great cause.”
Seattle's leading fabric store, Nancy’s Sewing Basket, will provide each contestant with $200 worth of fabric. The students will also be given 16 hours of sewing time to create their vision in red at IADT-Seattle. The event culminates with a gala fashion show at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
Ticket prices range from $35-75. For more info click here.
